2023 GMC Acadia
The 2023 GMC Acadia a midsize SUV that seats six. The Acadia is offered in SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali trim levels. The standard powerplant is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 228 horsepower. The AT4 and Denali trims are powered by a 3.6-liter V6 that puts out 310 hp. This block is available in the SLT. Both engines are teamed to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available on all trims except the AT4, which comes with all-wheel drive. The GMC Acadia carries over without any significant changes for 2023.
2023 GMC Canyon
The 2023 GMC Canyon is a midsize pickup that’s all-new for 2023. GMC hasn’t released full details for the 2023 Canyon as of this writing. For 2023, GMC introduces a new off-road AT4X trim. It’s powered by the Chevrolet Silverado’s turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine, which cranks out 310 hp. It rides on 33-inch all-terrain tires and features 10.7 inches of ground clearance, locking front and rear differentials, Multimatic spool-valve dampers, and an upgraded suspension. All Colorado models get more ride height, including 2.0 inches for the Elevation trim. An available Edition 1 package adds 17-inch beadlock capable wheels, a winch, additional cameras and more.
2023 GMC Hummer EV
The GMC Hummer EV is new for 2023. This all-electric vehicle is offered in pickup and SUV body styles. It’s the first of the GMC electric vehicles we can expect to see in the GMC lineup. According to GMC, the Hummer EV pickup’s motor can generate up to an incredible 1,000 hp, while the SUV can produce an impressive 850 horses.
2023 GMC Savana Cargo Van & 2023 GMC Savana Passenger Van
The 2022 GMC Savana is available as a cargo or passenger van with three engine options: a 4.3-liter V6 engine that puts out 276 hp, a 6.6-liter V8 that makes 401 hp, and a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel four-cylinder unit that develops 181 hp. We don’t expect significant changes and updates for the 2023 model year.
2023 GMC Sierra 1500
The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is a full-size pickup that comes in Pro, SLE, Elevation, SLT, AT4, AT4X, Denali and Denali Ultimate trims. Engine options include a turbocharged four-cylinder turbodiesel that makes 310 hp, a 5.3-liter V8 that puts out 355 hp, and a 6.2-liter V8 that generates 420 hp. Changes for 2023 include a new AT4X AEV Edition available for the AT4X trim that features 18-inch AEV Salta wheels, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, steel front and rear bumpers with recovery points, a winch in the front, and underbody steel skidplates.
2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD & 2023 GMC Sierra 3500HD
The 2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD are full-size heavy-duty pickups that come in Pro, SLE, SLT, AT4 and Denali trim levels. We don’t have details about the Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD as of this writing, but we expect to see the same standard 6.6-liter V8 and available Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 as last year. The GMC Sierra HD is projected to receive minor changes and updates for the 2023 model year.
2023 GMC Terrain
The 2023 GMC Terrain is a compact SUV that seats five and is available in SLE, SLT, AT4 and Denali trims. The Terrain is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 175 horsepower, connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Terrain SLE and SLT trims get standard front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive. The AT5 and Denali are equipped with all-wheel drive. According to one GMC dealer, for 2023, the Terrain’s powerplant gets a 5 hp boost from 170 to 175 hp. The Terrain picks up Eboost electronic power brake assist, and the Elevation Edition gets restyled Gloss Black 19-inch wheels.
2023 GMC Yukon/Yukon XL
The 2023 GMC Yukon is a full-size SUV offered in SLE, SLT, AT4, Denali and Denali Ultimate trims. The Yukon XL’s longer wheelbase provides more cargo space than the standard Yukon. Power is provided by a 5.3-liter V6 that makes 355 hp. Upgrade engines include a 6.2-liter V8 that puts out 420 hp and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six that generates 277 hp. Changes for 2023 include the new top-line Denali Ultimate trim, which comes with upgraded Alpine Umber leather upholstery, open-pore wood trim, a massage function for the front seats, a Bose audio system with 18 speakers, and more. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving highway driving mode is optional.
